Quickstart - A Guide for Ordering Landsat Imagery

Select Scenes

Use our web-based order interface to browse and select Landsat scenes from around the globe.

Select Scenes
  1. Use either the map, latitude/longitude coordinates, or Landsat path/row to select an area on the globe. The scene will be outlined in yellow on the display.
  2. Select a date from the image archive or use the 'Prev Scene' and 'Next Scene' buttons to scroll through the available scenes.
  3. Add the scene to the shopping cart for purchase. The scene will be outlined in green on the display to denote that it has been added to the shopping cart.
  4. View all scenes currently in your shopping cart.

Customize Image Products

Save processing time and allow us to produce the scenes you want customized to your needs.

Custom Products
  1. In your shopping cart, select the scenes you wish to customize. Select individual or multiple scenes by checking the individual box(es) or select all scenes by selecting the check box in the Product header.

    Note: You cannot specify processing options at the same time for scenes from multiple sensors. Thus if you have ETM+ and TM scenes in your shopping cart, you must handle the two groups of scenes separately.

  2. Click the 'Product Options' button to open the processing options window.
  3. The Options window allows you to customize the processing options for the selected scenes.
    • The Product tab allows you to choose from scaled radiance, TOA reflectance or surface reflectance products. You can also specify your output format via the Product tab.
    • The Projection tab allows you to specify your resampling projection and projection parameters.
    • Use the Spectral Bands tab to specify the resolution of your output product for each of VNIR, thermal, and pan band groups.
    • You may select additional processing of index products (vegetation, snow, water, burn ratio) for each of your selected scenes.
    • Use the Review tab to review your customized processing options for the selected scene(s).
  4. At any time, save your custom processing options for the selected scene(s) and return to the shopping cart.

Checkout

SAIC uses Google Checkout to provide a safe, reliable, and fast checkout experience.

Checkout
  1. When you are ready to purchase, click the 'Proceed to Checkout' button at the bottom of your shopping cart.
Sign into Google
  1. If you already have a Google account, you can sign in using your existing account.
  2. Otherwise, it's easy to create a Google account and you can do it from the Sign In page.
Review Your Order
  1. Occasionally SAIC runs various promotions to support our customers or introduce new products. If you have a Coupon Code, you may enter that code here and your discount will be applied./span>
  2. Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions for data use before you proceed to Google Checkout.
  3. Click the Google Checkout button be routed to a secure Google Checkout page and finalize payment for your order.
Complete Checkout
  1. The details for each scene in your order will be shown in Google Checkout.
  2. Applicable taxes will be applied based on your billing address. If you are a tax exempt customer, please contact our customer service representative with your tax exempt number before finalizing your order to obtain tax exempt status.
  3. If desired, securely update your credit card information in Google Checkout. Or you may use the default credit card specified by Google Checkout. This information is handled by Google Checkout and SAIC/LandsatImagePlace.com will never have access to your credit card information.
  4. Almost done! Click the 'Place your order now' to complete the checkout and order your data.

After you complete your order and your data is processed, you will receive an email from LandsatImagePlace.com with instructions on how to download your data.
